Leopard Shark

| The Leopard Sharks live between Oregon and Baja, but are particularly abundant in the bays of Northern California. The Leopard sharks are schooling animals, not solitary. They can grow up to 7' in length, though it is uncommon to find one past 6'. They mature when they reach about 3-3.5', which for males takes 7 years, and for females takes about 10. They eat many invertebrates, as well as some fish, bat rays, and smaller sharks. They are cartilaginous fish, meaning they are very flexible. |
