Earth Day on the Bay 2011!

Ahoy!

Join us as we celebrate our 40th anniversary and planet earth! Family Fun, Music, Arts Fair, for all ages!

* Discovery Ecotours aboard our 90-foot ship on the San Francisco Bay reveal what lives below the surface of the bay. (Click here to learn more and register today!)

* Visit our wide variety of marine animals in our Discovery Aquarium - make friends with our anemones, touch a crab, fish, eel or snail. Check the schedule of events for Shark Feeding!

* Play in our three big tents of Arts & Crafts. Take a tour through the entire water cycle collecting a bead from each stage and make your own Water Cycle bracelet. Use natural materials to make shell necklaces, seed balls to plant at home, or illuminated animal art. Or check our recycled material tent to turn trash into beautiful flowers, shimmery fish, or whatever your imagination can think of!

* Edutainment abounds with EarthCapades Environmental Vaudeville.  Always a big hit with the crowd, their audience-participation theater weaves water awareness and waste reduction messages with humor, acrobatics, and music.

* Live Music with the bi-lingual, world-wide sounds of ZunZun, and the mesmerizing rock ballads of Casey Neill.

* Don't miss the wonderful sounds and dancers of Keolalaulani O'Lapa O'Laka!

* Outrigger and canoe rides on Redwood Creek gives the curious a closer connection with the water and national refuge Bair Island, just across the channel from MSI.

* AND what would Earth Day on the Bay be without MUD, Plankton & Fish!
