PROGRAM THEMES

MSI programs have optional focus themes to better connect classroom curriculum and expectations to program content. Not all themes are applicable per program or across all grades. For best program-to-grade-to-theme connection, please ask. 

Human Impact

Human impacts on biophysical, biodiversity, and other resources within the environment.

Food Web

A food web is a series of organisms related by predator-prey and consumer-resource interactions. A system of interlocking food chains.

Scientific Method (the scientific process)

The scientific method consists of principles and procedures for the systematic pursuit of knowledge involving the recognition and formulation of a problem., the collection of data through observation and equipment, and the formulation and testing of hypotheses.

Biodiversity

Biodiversity is variety of life in a particular habitat/ecosystem.

Adaptation

Adaptation is physical or behavioral changes that helps one survive in their environment.
