When you join or renew your annual family membership to Marine Science Institute, you become part of a community of amazing people who have a passion to engage, educate and inspire students to be stewards of the environment.
Your tax-deductible donation helps provide food for our aquarium animals, interactive trips into nature for Bay Area students and hands on experiences for those who visit our facility.
If you donate $60 or more through a third-party platform (such as through your employer) you are eligible to receive Membership benefits. Please note there is a delay between your donation date through a third-party platform and when MSI receives notice of the donation. If you have donated through a third-party platform and have not received confirmation of your donation from Marine Science Institute, please contact membership@sfbaymsi.org.

Membership Perks
Family Membership: $60
Family Membership is a great way to enjoy all that Marine Science Institute offers throughout the year. Family Membership covers a household of six (two adults and up to four children under 18).
Bay Steward: $150
Includes all the Annual Family Membership has to offer PLUS even earlier access to Summer Marine Science Camp Priority Registration, discount on Summer and Intersession Marine Science Camp ($25 per registrant), and recognition in the Annual Report and on our website.
Ocean Advocate: $300
Includes all the Bay Steward Family Membership has to offer PLUS complimentary EcoVoyage spaces aboard our Research Vessel and an even greater discount on Summer and Intersession Marine Science Camp ($35 per registrant).
