Thanks for your interest in a donation from Marine Science Institute.

At MSI, we believe that giving back to our community is very important. That’s why we are proud to support charitable organizations and community events every year.

We appreciate the opportunity to consider this request.

Marine Science Institute will donate one (1) complimentary family membership good for one calendar year (12 months) on request, per calendar year, to nonprofit organizations [501(c)(3)] that directly benefit children’s education.

In order to help you better tailor your requests, please read our donation guidelines:

To whom do we give?

We donate to organizations that serve children ages 2-12.

We give first priority to organizations that cater to young children, support science education and/or animal welfare.

We primarily give to organizations that are on the San Francisco Peninsula, but we will also consider those in the Bay Area.

We only provide donations that will be used by families.

To save on costs of mailing and paper, Marine Science Institute asks that you do not send us a confirmation of receipt or tax letter for our donation.

Key dates:

Please make requests at least two months prior to the date of your event. Donations received within 2 months of your event will not be considered.
We only donate to an organization one time per fiscal year
Requests are processed once per month, at the end of each month

Tickets will be mailed to the organization holding the fundraiser as specified in the requested information above. Please note that due to the high volume of requests we receive, we require that you request your donation at least two months in advance of your event date and allow six weeks for processing. To save on costs of mailing and paper, Marine Science Institute asks that you do not send us a confirmation of receipt or tax letter for our donation.
