Our School Break Camps are offered throughout the year and provide an immersive marine science learning adventure, inviting children to explore the diverse marine habitats of the Pacific Coast and San Francisco Bay. Through hands-on investigations of local ecosystems, campers discover how animals living in different habitats have developed unique adaptations that help them survive. Themes include local wetlands, Pacific Coast environments, and oceanic habitats, providing a broad and engaging view of marine and Bay life.

Our Marine Science Summer Camp offers kids entering K–8th grade an immersive week of hands-on learning, interacting with live marine animals, and discovering science both on shore and aboard our research vessel! For many children, growing up with our Marine Science Summer camps means learning, making new friends and building a lifelong love for the San Francisco Bay and ocean!

Marine Science Camp Scholarship Program
At Marine Science Institute, we believe every child deserves the chance to explore, discover, and connect with the San Francisco Bay and the ocean. The Marine Science Camp Scholarship Program was created to give as many kids as possible the opportunity to experience the benefits of camp. Our Camp Scholarship Program helps make marine science camps accessible to families who need support.
Apply for financial support with the Marine Science Camp Scholarship Program! Camp spots are held in select sessions for qualified scholarship recipients.
